What do you get when you cross a symphony orchestra with a star chart? Hopefully, a younger audience.

I started looking at the Colorado Symphony as a constellation: individual musicians and instruments, each with a precise place in the larger composition. Traditional star charts became the jumping-off point, with the orchestra’s stage arrangement translated into a celestial system of points, lines, and patterns.

Inspiration

The visual identity turns the concert hall into something closer to an observatory. Posters, concert collateral, and merchandise map the orchestra into a visual universe—part celestial atlas, part concert identity.

The result is a system that gives the symphony a little more mystery, a little more wonder, and hopefully a reason to look twice.
